Domestic Abuse Recovery
Stepping away from abuse is an important milestone for families. Healing takes time and support is essential along the way. Families need time and space to begin recovering, emotionally, physically, and practically. We are determined to provide holidays that help families start to take their next steps towards recovery.
The Journey After Domestic Abuse
In 2024, 18% of families referred to us were recovering from domestic abuse, the largest single referral reason of that year. Many had never been on holiday before and were still rebuilding stability.
Time away offers the chance to reset, to reconnect, and to start building new memories - away from the trauma.
Creating Safe Spaces for Healing
Each holiday is created with care, offering a calm, welcoming space where families can relax without fear. We listen to each family’s situation and arrange holidays that suit their needs - that may mean staying near a familiar location or choosing somewhere more secluded.
Rebuilding Family Bonds
The impact of our holidays is deep and lasting:
- 80% of families said relationships within their family improved
- 94% said the holiday reduced the stress of going away
- 76% said they gained a new outlook on life after their break
These holidays help restore trust, reduce anxiety, support emotional healing and importantly, rebuild family bonds.
